AboutVery nice and hollow deep cavity quartz lined Keokuk, Iowa area geode pair! The quartz throughout the geode is primarily clear but a little bit of orange/yellow iron spots are found here and there. AboutAn interesting combination specimen from this now closed locale! A partial vug in basalt is lined with clear quartz crystals, and upon the quartz are numerous crystals of green gyrolite. Additional growths of reddish stilbite/stellerite are found upon the gyrolite and some minor laumontite is also found in association.
