#BG-107 - Manganoan Calcite

Very nice representative manganoan calcite from this active mine.  This specimen was probably collected during a find of these calcites in the Androvo Mine in December 2004 but no documentation came with the specimen so I cannot confirm this for sure but the similarities to other specimens from that pocket and this specimen are there.  This particular specimen features manganoan calcite crystals up to about 6 cm (2.3 inches) and the specimen as a whole is of the more "plate-like" variety.  There are just a couple of very, very minor rubs here and there - these could probably very easily be remedied with mineral oil.  A nice manganoan calcite from Bulgaria.
