A fine specimen of manganoan calcite of the scalenohedral (dogtooth) variety.  The crystals are rather uniform in size, with most being around 2-2.5 cm (0.8-1 inches) in length.  The only damage is the typical contact along the edges.  Specimen sits up on its base as shown in the first photograph with no help necessary.
