#BG-308 - Calcite on Sphalerite w/ Galena

Madan Deposit, southern Rhodope Mountains, Bulgaria

Two barrel-like calcites are found perched on a mostly sphalerite base, but some galena crystals are also present on the sphalerite.  The main calcite is approximately 2.5 cm (1 inch) in length.  It does have a small nick on the back of the crystal - we have provided two photos to show how the specimen can be displayed to hide this nick.  Nice combination miniature.
