All of our geodes are among the highest quality available from Brazil, and are shipped directly to us from our supplier in Brazil to our nearby customs port to avoid increases in transport fees and markup by middlemen. This means you can buy a top quality geode at what we feel is a very fair and reasonable price.

If we don't have it in stock, we can contact our supplier in Brazil and see if they have it and if so, the geode(s) can be included in our next import shipment, or give you a recommendation of another large importer closer to you that may have it if the shipment needs to be expedited.
The prices listed above do not include shipping - when you place your order we will provide you with the cost of shipping to your destination. These geodes are sent either through the post office (USPS), Federal Express Ground (FEDEX Ground), or a nationwide trucking company (we currently ship with Dayton Freight (or regional alliance carrier if outside of Dayton Freight's service area)). Generally, the small geodes (those under $100 in value) are sent through the post office (unless multiple orders). Geodes above $100 (or multiple orders of small geodes) are usually sent through FEDEX Ground, and geodes with a total transport weight of 150 pounds or more (such as large geodes in wooden crates) are always sent through Dayton Freight or their nationwide alliance members. While not required, we recommend insurance as a "just in case" even though we pack these geodes very well for shipment. Concerning shipment through UPS - we used to ship these through UPS but after receiving complaints of poor package handling and even a few breakages, we have decided to no longer ship these geodes through UPS. The packages have arrived in considerably better shape when sent through Fedex Ground and the shipping cost is very close between the two carriers. All geodes are securely packed in either sturdy (one or two thickness) boxes, double-boxed, or crated if big enough. Please be aware that packing will add to the total weight of the package, usually around 2 pounds for the smallest geodes to as much as 15 or 20 pounds additional weight for the medium-sized geodes (excluding those in crates - geodes shipped in crates additional packaging weight varies considerably and in some cases the packing can weigh as much as the geode itself). Ship from zip code is 61473 via FEDEX Ground and Dayton Freight, 61462 via USPS. Geodes sent through Dayton Freight leave the terminal in Peoria, IL and are generally delivered within 2-5 business days anywhere in the lower 48 states. Smaller geodes are sent generally next business day (order placed on Monday, geode sent on Tuesday, for example), the larger geodes ($300 and up) are usually sent within 24-48 hours of order placement (order placed on Monday, geode sent no later than Wednesday, for example).
On large geodes that require freight shipment (crates), we only ship within the continental United States, for now. Also, check our Show Schedule - if you are interested in purchasing a geode and we will be in your area for a show, we will deliver at the show or locally (within a few miles of the show site) at no cost.
