Specimens from the collection of Dr. E.G. Tribbey

The Geode Gallery has recently obtained several specimens from the collection of Dr. E.G. Tribbey.  Dr. Tribbey's (Gene's) collection is mostly composed of thumbnails and miniatures, but some cabinet specimens, especially from Colorado (many self-collected) are included.  His focus at present time is thumbnails.  Gene continues to add to his collection through self-collection and purchases.

We were able to obtain several (mostly self-collected) specimens from Gene's collection recently.  Please note:  most of these specimens are duplicates (NOT lower quality specimens) of specimens currently in his collection.  If no reference is made as to who the specimen came from, it was self-collected.  If you know Gene well enough, you can expect only high quality, damage-free specimens.  We will continue to post from his collection in the future.
