Sphalerite on Dolostone - Cumberland Mine, Elmwood District, Smith Co., Tennessee

A 4.5 x 4 cm (1.8 x 1.6 inch) cluster of sphalerite is perched on a dolostone base. The largest crystal (and highest in relief) in the sphalerite cluster is slightly rubbed, but otherwise damage free and excellent lustre as shown. Back side is just massive sphalerite and dolostone as seen at bottom left.
