Fluorite & Barite - Elmwood Mine, Elmwood District, Smith Co., Tennessee

A dark purple partial floater cube of fluorite makes up the balance of the specimen, but a little bit of white to yellow barite, mostly in massive form, is found on one lower corner of the piece. The back side of the specimen is largely very slightly etched, indicating that this piece broke off the wall of a cavity at some point naturally. One area on the back looks like a fresh cleave. A couple corners are slightly nicked but only slightly. The photographs really do not convey the specimen very well - it is difficult at least for me to get these dark purple cubes to look decent in photographs.
