#OK-05 - Calcite, Okenite, Prehnite in Vug
Kandivali area, Bombay (Mumbai), Maharashtra, India
15 x 13 x 9 cm (5.9 x 5.1 x 3.5 inches) - $25.00

#OK-05 Description: This vug specimen contains two openings, one opening primarily contains okenites (top two photos), while the other opening is dominanted by a calcite (bottom two photos). The vug continues through the entire specimen, but is so full of okenites towards the middle that there is only a small area where light can be seen all the way through. A rather interesting specimen and important as well - such a specimen really shows how the vugs in Bombay were found, not so much round as you would think a vug or geode would be, but more of a flatter shape as is typical.
PACKING NOTICE: All okenites are very fragile. Great care and large amounts of packing were required to get these specimens from India to us, and we will do the same to send to you. All okenites are packed in cotton to avoid any further damage. In the past, recipients of our okenite specimens have found specimens to arrive in excellent condition. If you are concerned about having these shipped, please let us know but there should be no problems. Thanks - The Geode Gallery.
