Brown calcite with a somewhat waxy luster lined Keokuk geode half with secondary clear/white calcite growths and a larger nearly 2 inch (5 cm) long pink calcite crystal that also contains some micro pyrite crystals. This geode is from the Waterman "Kakoha black" location and was mined sometime in the late 1960s or early 1970s during his mining stint at this particular location. There are some bulldozer scrapes on the top of the half. The half sits perfectly for display to see the pink calcite although some lighting would help the overall display in this particular position, or it could be set upright on a stand as well.
    Origin: Keokuk, Iowa, United States
Weight: 4.40 lbs (convert to kg)
Width: 6.25 in Height: 4 in Depth: 3 in (convert to cm)
