Partial dark purple fluorite cube from the Gordonsville shaft in the Elmwood, Tennessee mining complex. The base is contacted with some massive sphalerite also showing and there are a couple of cleaves to the fluorite that are visible when displayed at certain angles. When held up to a light there is some purple coloring but overall the crystal is pretty dark. A couple of nicks are also present on a few crystal edges. While this is not necessarily a specimen I would recommend for the true mineral collector, it does exhibit good crystalline structure for fluorite and displays good on its own.
