IN 0K 06 LC

A rather typical vug from Bombay containing several okenites with a lightly less textured luster (less spiky-ness), several clear/colorless/white gyrolite balls, some prehnite and laumontite, on a drusy quartz lining. The okenite towards the front of the specimen appears to also contain a few yellowish calcites on its top (see bottom left photo, at the top, slightly off center to the left). Slight contacting to the underside of the okenite right on the edge as the bottom left photograph shows, and same story to a gyrolite farther to the left (bottom right photo). Very nice large cabinet vug/geode from Bombay! This quarry is now closed and the only specimens now available are coming from older dealer stocks or collections. These okenite vugs were once easily obtainable by the ton but no longer.
