Whole (Unopened) Break Your Own Trancas Geodes - Chihuahua state, Mexico

The "Trancas" geodes are well-known for their interesting quartz growths and fluorescent ability (approximately 80-85% of these geodes, in our experience, fluoresce bright green under shortwave ultraviolet light).  We guarantee at least 90% of the Trancas geodes we sell to be hollow. The Trancas geodes WILL BE SIMILAR to the ones pictured in the Opened Mexican Trancas Geode Page (opens a new window) and the sample geodes below.  The sample geodes shown are a typical quartz with calcite, possible dirt, or other carbonate mineral, light smoky/blue quartz with scepters and calcite, and clear quartz with white skin and calcite.  These geodes do NOT have the colors like the coconut geodes.

We can only guarantee that the geodes you order will be hollow at the percentages we have listed by volume - we cannot guarantee what crystal growths will be encountered upon opening!  That is the fun part - you never know what you will get!!!

WHOLE TRANCAS GEODES AVAILABLE FOR SALE

NOTE:  The Trancas geodes do not come in large sizes.  We can maintain regular stock of the 1.25 to 2.50 inch size but 3-4 inch sizes are erratically available and are not offered here due to inconsistencies in available supply.  We occasionally have larger Trancas geodes available at shows.

All sizes of Trancas Geodes are guaranteed a minimum of 90% hollow, meaning 9 out of 10 geodes will have an open, crystal lined cavity.

IMPORTANT SHIPPING NOTE:  Please select the "USPS Priority Mail Flat Rate Box" option when Checking Out for least expensive and quickest delivery time if ordering 120 or fewer geodes.  Generally, we can fit up to 40 geodes (up to 2 inch diameter) in a medium flat rate box.  Orders greater than 40 geodes will default to a larger flat rate box or multiple boxes when Checking Out.
