Current Price List for year 2009 - prices are subject to change without notice but if any changes take place, they are usually around the first of the year and we notify ahead of time.
The Geode Gallery operates on a retail/wholesale basis. This page contains our current price list for those businesses/individuals who own a business for the purpose of re-selling the products they buy from us.
In order to purchase at wholesale, you must have or do the following:
1) business re-sale/tax ID number from your state or country, 2) order at least the minimum amount indicated.
If you do not meet these two requirements, please do not proceed as you will not be able to order.
If you are ordering for the first time via wholesale from us AND you are located in the state of Illinois, we must receive a valid copy of your business registration or tax ID number to put on file and to report to the state of Illinois (state we do business in) each year. If you are out of state or in another country, we just need your full business name, address, phone number, and re-sale or tax ID number. We do not need a copy of your license unless you wish to submit it to us.

Wholesale Information: The Geode Gallery is the leading supplier of Keokuk, Iowa area geodes. Keokuk geodes are our specialty but you will also find that our other specimens are priced attractively for resale purposes with the discounts provided below. We ARE THE SOURCE for Keokuk geodes and for those specimens we are not mining, we buy direct from the individuals or companies that did mine them.

All prices listed below are FOB, Roseville, Illinois. See shipment options below price list. If an item on our website does not appear on this wholesale list, it means we do not wholesale such items. If you have any questions, please send us an email. Minimum order amount indicated for each product is minimum price wholesale. We will be adding pictures and wholesale online ordering this year.
KEOKUK GEODES
The Geode Gallery has the largest stock and best quality Keokuk, Iowa area geodes available. We are now offering Keokuk geodes wholesale: Un-opened (Whole), Opened (matching pairs and halves), bulk flats/boxes of opened geodes, and individual larger hollow geode halves and pieces. Wholesale Pricing:
Whole (Un-Opened) Keokuk Geodes: Minimum 90% Guaranteed Hollow, usually have clear or light orange quartz, some with calcite, pyrite, and a very small percentage bubbly chalcedony: Sizes currently available 2.5 to 12 inches, with 4 to 12 inch geodes regularly in stock. In this size range, geodes generally weigh around a half pound for a 2.5" geode, 1 pound for a 3-3.25", 2-3 pounds for around 4 inches, 5-7 pounds for around 6 inches, and up to 50-60 pounds for a 12 inch geode with some variation in geodes above 4 inches. See Whole Keokuk Geodes for more typical size ranges and weights. Minimum Order 25 Pounds - $3.75 a pound between 25 and 50 pounds, order at least 50 pounds and price is $3.50 a pound. Larger quantity discounts may apply depending on your order size. Contact us for more details and availability. You may order certain size ranges or mix of size ranges if you wish - the price does not change if you want larger or smaller geodes, or all of the same size. They all contain the same mineralization regardless of the size. These prices are among the lowest wholesale prices available for quality, hollow geodes of any type, and you will likely not find a better quality geode regularly available at and above 8 inches in diameter. Solid or nearly solid (completely or nearly completely filled with quartz) geodes in sizes from 3 inches to 15 inches are available at 50 cents a pound, large quantity discounts are also available.
Opened Keokuk Geodes (matching pairs): Minimum Order $100 - order between $100 and $300 of marked retail prices and take 20% off total, order over $300 of marked retail price and take 30% off marked price. All geodes have natural rough edges, they are not cut or polished. The majority of Keokuk geodes look better with a natural edge - the polished edge has a tendency to attract the attention versus the interior with this particular type of geode.

Larger Keokuk Geode Halves and Pieces: Minimum order 10 pounds.
Hollow Keokuk geode halves and pieces (non matching) measuring between 6 and 15 inches in diameter with the same interiors as the smaller geodes but too large to fit in a flat above. Individual weights between 3 and 100+ pounds available depending on size. Choose your size and quantity and we will provide a weight estimate for your order and pricing. All opened geodes have natural rough edges, they are not cut or polished.

All prices do NOT include shipping. Fedex Ground delivery (1-5 days) will apply in the USA, or local pickup/delivery arrangements if applicable. Large quantity orders ship by Dayton Freight. We mine these geodes, buy direct from the source! Regular supply available of all geode sizes from 4 to 12 inches in diameter!

Mexican "Coconut" Geodes - Chihuahua, Mexico: We are able to offer wholesale discounts for both opened and un-opened geodes from Mexico. See the link below to see what these geodes look like and for more information. They are consistently among the finest quality geode currently being mined in Mexico.

Opened Geode Pairs: See Website page for samples available. Take 15% off marked prices. Many pairs also available but not on website, so if you would like a certain size, please specify this to us when ordering.
Un-Opened (Whole) Solid Geodes: Minimum order quantity is 100 pounds (50 kilos). These geodes will all or nearly all be completely filled in with quartz (NO open crystal lined cavity) but many will contain the agate banding along the edges, just like the hollow geodes. Good for slabs or other craft purposes. This is not an item that we carry in our regular wholesale stock so please allow a minimum of 2 weeks for delivery.
Whole Solid Coconuts 2-4 inches: $2.00 / pound
Whole Solid Coconuts 5 inches or larger: $3.00 / pound
Un-Opened (Whole) Hollow Geodes: Minimum order quantity is 10 pounds, with more significant discounts available for orders of 50 pounds or more at a time. These geodes are guaranteed to be at least 90% hollow by volume.
Whole Hollow Coconuts 2-4 inches (orders between 10 and 50 pounds): $10 / pound regardless of size
Whole Hollow Coconuts 2-4 inches (at least 50 pounds ordered): $9 / pound
Whole Hollow Coconuts 4-7 inches: no longer offered wholesale, limited availability
For geodes 4 inches and above, no wholesale discount is offered due to limited availability and higher wholesale prices. We have also found in our experience that the best geodes are those under 4 inches in diameter in terms of quality (better quality crystals). You can order specific sizes as well (if you want so many pounds of one size and so many pounds of another size, you can do that - the combined weight will be the amount figured for the order so if you wanted to order 25 pounds of 3 inch size and 25 pounds of 4 inch size to meet the 50 pound price break, you can do that to receive the higher price discount - just let us know your wishes).
Typically, a geode 2 inches in diameter is 4-5 ounces (0.25-0.30 pounds), 2.50 inches around a half pound, 3-3.25 inches is right around 1 pound, a geode 4 inches is around 2-2.25 pounds each, give or take an ounce or two.

Mineral Specimens: Mineral specimens are sold on a wholesale basis in a case-by-case scenario or by specimen type. Our current wholesale buyers need to know that due to fluctuating market availability and the resultant change of prices, these prices may change without notice so please check this page or ask prices before ordering.
Minimum order on all minerals: $100.00
Elmwood, Tennessee minerals: Wholesale discounts are not available on Elmwood minerals.
All other minerals shown on the website will be discounted by the following price brackets:
Total order between $100-$300 retail marked prices - take 10% off
Total order between $300-$500 retail marked prices - take 15% off
Total order between $500-$1000 retail marked prices - take 20% off
Total order of $1000 or more, retail marked prices - take 25% off
Besides Elmwood material, we have a very large stock or can get a very large quantity of most all other minerals on the website. When ordering, tell us your needs if you need something other than pictured on the website. If we don't have it, we'll tell you how long it will take to get it and estimated price. Please keep in mind that even though large quantities are available or we can get a large quantity, the quality will still be high on all specimens. We do not sacrifice quality for quantity!

Shipping Information for Wholesale Orders:
As stated above, prices listed on the website and this wholesale list are FOB, Roseville, Illinois, meaning freight/insurance costs are not included in the price and will be added to your order. The only exception to this is air/sea cargo shipments (CIF - see below).
See below for shipment options for domestic/international orders.
Domestic Wholesale Orders: We ship either through Fedex Ground (smaller orders generally under 300 pounds) or Dayton Freight (larger than 300 pound or large single items). Please contact us for rate quotes through trucking companies and delivery services needed (liftgate, residential delivery, etc.). These services will require additional freight costs and more specific details on the bill of lading.
International Wholesale Orders: We use direct air cargo (international airport to international airport), United States postal service (post office (USPS)), or Federal Express International (by request only). The shipping method used for international orders is highly dependent on what is shipped and especially the quantity shipped. Smaller orders are almost always shipped through the post office, but large quantities of items or large items (such as drums, crates, large/heavy boxes) are usually shipped air cargo. You may request to pre-pay the freight and insurance before the shipment is exported (CIF), or be responsible for paying of all freight costs upon arrival at your port of entry. We pay brokerage and agent fees in good faith.
Very important for international shipments via air cargo: if shipping is through air cargo, you MUST be able to have the shipment sent to your nearest international airport that handles cargo shipments through the various airlines that handle cargo. Most airlines handle cargo, but some handle only specific kinds of cargo and most also have different policies regarding cargo exporting/importing as well as some airlines only operate in certain locations. We will provide you with freight quotes from various airlines when ordering. You must also realize that you or a customs broker (strongly recommended) will need to clear the goods through customs during or upon arrival of goods at their destination. Goods will not be released to you until goods are cleared through the customs agency in your country, and a grace period from arrival until goods are charged storage by the airline's warehouse exists! Customs fees are your responsibility upon arrival, we are not responsible for those so please keep that in mind before you decide to directly import goods. After goods are cleared through customs, you may pick up or may also arrange to have a local trucking/delivery company deliver the goods to you, but again, this will come at an additional expense. We strongly suggest you check on the process of importing goods through air cargo in your country before you order! We will not be held responsible for any miscellaneous fees you will need to pay upon arrival of goods in your country.

Payment Options:
We accept cash in $USD, checks, money orders, cashier's checks, all major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Discover/Novus, and American Express), Paypal, international money orders, Western Union, and bank transfers. For large wholesale orders, we may ask for a down-payment of 10% of your total order if something has to be special-ordered, and then ask for the remaining balance before goods are shipped. Down-payments are requested when we have to order something to complete or to fill your order.
All money received must be in United States Dollars ($). Please note that currency exchange rates will apply to international orders, so please keep this in mind when making payment. It is your responsibility to check on exchange rates since these markets change daily. For International Orders over US $1000, we may require payment by bank wire transfer or unless you are an established customer, other payments are also accepted.
Personal/business checks, money orders, and cashier's checks drawn on a bank will be held for 7-10 days until check is cleared, regardless of amount.
Credit card orders are shipped immediately upon approval, or if by air cargo, as soon as export documents are processed through our broker (anywhere from 2-10 days depending on order size and time order is placed).
Other payment options inquire on delivery time. It may depend on when we receive payment.
