We do not have a physical store – our gallery is located online and we exhibit at rock and mineral shows throughout the United States.  Our apologies, but we are no longer accepting visitor/customer appointments unless you are an established customer and have pre-arranged an order pickup with us at our original business location in west central Illinois.

Order online Order Online: Use our secure shopping cart 24/7.

Order by phone Order by Phone: Call (309) 335-6740 between 9AM to 5PM Central Time, Monday-Friday (except major holidays).  We can take your order and we accept all major credit and debit cards over the phone.  If you do not reach us, please leave a message and we will get back to you as soon as we can (no later than 24 hours after your call, usually much sooner).

Order by mail Order by Mail:Mail your check/money order to: Geode Gallery LLC, PO Box 2396, Davenport, Iowa 52809. Please use our secure shopping cart to acquire your actual total with shipping.  The price quoted through our shopping cart is the actual total for your order. 

Purchase order Purchase Orders: Geode Gallery LLC accepts purchase orders only by regular mail or as a WORD/PDF attachment in an e-mail. You may complete your order through our online shopping cart by inserting your purchase order in the appropriate fields, but please note we need to receive a firm purchase order copy either through regular mail or by e-mail from your organization to complete your order - we will not ship your order based solely on your Shopping Cart order number.  Illinois and Iowa customers only: If you are ordering by purchase order and are exempt from sales tax, please deduct the tax from the order total that our secure shopping cart adds into your order total.

How Soon Will My Order Ship/Time to Delivery? [Back to top]


We take great pride in shipping orders quickly.  Most orders ship same or next business day although larger quantity orders or larger items that take more time to pack may ship in 2-3 days. Only slight shipping delays may occur during holidays or vacation, but even during these times our staff will usually get orders sent out within 1-2 days. Orders requesting overnight or 2 day delivery are given priority and will ship same day or no later than next business day unless we are away at a show/vacation. For full shipping services and delivery times once we ship, please follow tracking information provided by e-mail when your order is shipped or picked up.  For orders sent by truck freight, we will send you the PRO # so you can track from the carrier's website.  We can ship freight through just about any major nationwide carrier although most of our shipments are sent through Fedex Freight, R&L Carriers, or Yellow Freight/Roadway.   If you have an account with a preferred freight company, please contact us to have the freight billed to your account.  Please note it is advantageous to pick up the freight at your delivering terminal (if possible) because non-commercial delivery surcharges can get rather steep (especially if you need a liftgate), and attempting to schedule firm delivery times can be difficult.  Please contact us with questions.

We strive for the most accurate and honest pictures and descriptions as possible. We understand that viewing pictures online does not always truly represent the specimen compared to having it in person. Therefore, we offer a full purchase price refund (minus shipping costs) if the item is returned to us in original condition within 14 days of delivery (USA customers) or 30 days (international customers). eBay buyers have 30 days to return items per their policy.  Buyer is responsible for return shipping costs. WHOLE GEODES: If you receive a whole (un-opened) geode that is solid, please contact us within 10 days and we will send you a replacement geode at no cost to you including shipping costs, or we will issue a refund for the full price of the solid geode (minus shipping costs). All orders received between November 1 and December 23 have a longer return period (until January 5th) to contact us if you receive a solid geode for a replacement/refund. If you have any questions, please contact us prior to ordering.

Geode Gallery, LLC is well-known and established as the primary geode cracker and supplier of Keokuk, Iowa geodes on a retail/wholesale basis at major mineral/gem shows in the Midwest, Great Lakes region, and southern United States. Geode Gallery, LLC accepts cash, checks, money orders, Paypal, Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and American Express. We will also accept Western Union and bank wire transfer payments from international buyers. We also accept purchase orders from schools, universities, government agencies, and other applicable institutions.  Unless you are ordering through an official purchase order or you are a government entity, all orders must be prepaid and any payments made by check must clear the bank before we will ship.

Do you buy Geodes? [Back to top]


If you have geodes for sale, please contact us by e-mail at: sand[at sign]maplecity.com. We require a picture of what you have along with a description and measurements in addition to where the geodes are from.  Please also include your asking price - we do not price others' geodes or minerals.  We will also consider trades - trades work well with international deals.  Please contact us for more details.  We welcome those who have new geode finds worldwide and within the United States, as well. 

Can you provide me with an estimate of what my geode is worth? [Back to top]


We can provide you with a range of estimated worth if the geode or geodes you have are from an area we are familiar with or that we sell ourselves. It is important to note, however, that pricing rocks and minerals in general is VERY subjective. In other words, you are likely to receive different quotes from different people. We will not only provide you with an honest opinion but will do our best to provide additional information so you are more informed about what you have and what the current market conditions for such specimens currently is. Also, especially with rocks, providing a picture of what you have to us is the most important thing you can do to get the most accurate value range from us. Please do not send us e-mails or call us describing your specimens you are looking for values - send us pictures through e-mail along with your description.  We will NOT provide estimates based on a text or verbal description only!  Please send your pictures and description (including sizes of the geodes) to: sand[at sign]maplecity.com.
